I am trying to find out if I can petion the court to continue child support while my 18 almost 19 year old daughter is in college.  My daughter has documented physical, emotional and learning disabilities.  She is receiving some financial help from voc rehab for college expenses.  Her father is also supposed to carry medical insurance on her, can he be required to continue while she is in college.  She lives at home with me.
 Her father has been found in contempt on five other occassions for not paying child support and back medical bills.  Is this worth me pursuing?

I ama mother of an 18 year old daughter.  My daughter is attending a community college at this time.  She is a special needs child with documented medical, emotional and learning disabilities.  My daughter is receiving some finacial help from vocational rehab to help with her school expenses.  She will be 19 in March'07.  
Her father does not believe that he should have anymore finacial obligation to her after she turns 19.  Can I petion the court to request that he continue to pay child support while she is college?  Is this ever done and does he still have to carry medical insurance on her while sshe is still in college.
My ex has been found in contempt on at least five different occasions for failure to pay child support and on back medical bills.  I am truly concerned.  I am unsure what rights we have to help her.
