This cannot be good, ex & I talked about my oldest son wanting to live w/me. Ex works out of the country 28days and is home 28days, and my son is not happy w/stepmom when he is gone, but he's afraid to talk to dad b/c he always takes her side. He has no backbone when it comes to her. Ex says the reason there is so much animosity is b/c of son lying to both of us. Well I know he's a teenager and is probably playing us to some extent, but I dont think I can handle her coming into my house and calling him a liar. what should i do? they will be here 8am and i told him that this was between him and i but he says that if son blames stepmom for something then she should be here to. I just think that the three of us should set down before he brings her into my house to disrepect my kids. they live w/them and she controls everything, bigtime. I am not a jealous person, ex and i used to get along great til they married. and her and i were fine at first until my parenting time was up to her.

My question is can a controlling CP dictate and deny my visitation with my boys.  In April of this year I had to file a petition for modification of visitation b/c he wasn't letting me see my boys for reasons like not following his house rules when they were with me, I went 2 1/2 months w/o seeing them b/c I let oldest ride motorcycle, anyway that is in the past.  Now I have CO for visitation which states that we work out time.  they went on their Disney vacation during my granted holiday, memorial day, so I asked for the 4th of July b/c dad was gonna be out of the country working and they (new wife) refused me.  Back in April, the day after we signed papers, they sent me a proposed summer schedule which I never responded to.  They insist that I do 2 wks/3 times.  I want to keep them for my remaining 4 wks now.  the only reason I took them back after the first 2 wk visit was because of the 4th being their holiday and was afraid if I waited till 4th to return them then they wouldn't return them to me.  It states in the standard visitation for this jurisdiction that it is at the NCP's preference but they seem to think that since they sent me a schedule 3 mths ago that I have to go by this.  I have emailed a month in advance as ordered for my preference and they keep emailing me saying that I WILL meet them this Sunday (2morrow).  My attorney says keep them but I just want to do the right thing.  My boys want to stay as well.  Will I be in contempt if I keep them?

Non custodial mom living in arkansas wants to know if it is my responsibility to make sure my 14 yr old son goes to gymnastics practice 3 days a week from 5:30 to 8:00 pm during my 6 wk summer visitation. First of all let me say that i asked him if he wanted to attend, and he said no, the only reason that he goes during school is because stepmom keeps him grounded while dad is off working a month at a time and it gets him out. Normally I wouldnt have a problem with cooperating, but we live an hour away and i work till 5:30 everyday, i just dont think its possible, not to mention the cost associated with this expectation. There is nothing in our orders that state this, but i dont want it to come back and bite me later.

my ex and i have joint custody with no child support in arkansas. for the past two years the kids were with me half the time (if not more).  well now i think she is planning to take me to court for child support. we have one child that is still in daycare in which we agreed to split 50/50. that worked for a short time, now she says she cant pay, so in order to keep childcare i have been paying the full amount.  even though there is no child support ordered i generally end up giving her anywhere from $500-$900 per month, PLUS childcare.  i've been trying to help her maintain a stable life for my kids, but it is never enough. i cant seem to get ahead, i also have to provide a home and necessaties as well.  but the further in the hole i get i realize, that no matter what bills she needs paid (phone, rent, electric, etc) it will never be enough. if i ever tell her i dont have the funds to help right now, she threatens to take me back to court and get cs ordered.  so i started giving her $115 a week, but she still comes to me for extras like rent and such.  she does not work. has a live in boyfriend and still gets monthly shut off notices, until i bail her out.  

what are the chances that she could go back to court and prove that cs should be established? I already pay her bills, and still have kiddos half the time.  she just informed my 12 yr old daughter that i am not her biological dad, and planned a meeting w/child and real father, who has never seen her, without my knowledge, AND awaiting results of a paternity test, for guess what, CHILD SUPPORT. he is military so i know he will be obligated to pay support.

this girl is not happy unless i am tits up. is is possible that a judge will see that she cannot support herself much less our kiddos and give me physical custody. if so then i will save the money i keep giving her and retain an attorney for a good cause, to place my children in a secure and stable environment.
