No reason at all besides there being a conference call with the mother's lawyer, the GAL and the judge.
Either way I wasn't properly notified or included on this decision, which I should have been.

Well, that's the problem.
The GAL has supposed teamed with the mother of my child and her lawyer to allow this to happen. When I called the GAL she already knew about it and was perfectly fine with it.
The problem isn't the school it's the fact that this decision was made without me or my lawyer.

Thanks for the replies.
Just needed to know my options

It's public school system.

Mother's school- she moved this year while he was in school.
Decree doesn't state but it was agreed with the Guardian Ad that my child would stay in the same school district.
Now, all of a sudden it has changed.

I currently have 50/50 custody of my 9 year old
School starts Monday, I registered him for the school he attended last year.
I have since learned through text. That my child will be attending a different school.
And there was a supposed conference call between the Guardian Ad, mother's lawyer and judge.
All unbeknownst to me.
What are my rights at this point?
I'm in Georgia. Awaiting contact from my lawyer.

My goal is sole custody.
During the first hearing I've been granted  joint custody.
The guardian Ad absolutely hates me, my lawyer seems to think she will try to reduce my  time with my child. She misses appointments, doesn't do what she said she will do, hasn't spoke with doctors etc.

Getting along with the mother is going to be the hardest thing ever but if it means having my son I will do whatever it takes.

Hi everyone!
I'm new to the forum!
I just wanted to get some suggestions on helping my current custody case
I'm currently fighting for custody of my 9 year old son. I have done everything I should have done and more, but I'm having issues with Guardian Ad who seems to side with everything his mother tells her.
I wanted to know if any of the fathers have had this issue? If so, what have you done to combat it? (Outside of speaking with my lawyer)

Outside of providing normally for my son..I've put him in counseling, tutoring, and insurance. What are additional things I can do to prove my abilities for my child?
For the record I'm in Georgia!

Any information is good information. Thanks in advance!
