The Dr. Phil show is looking for a parent who had their child taken
away by an ex-spouse or a family member. Did you struggle in a court
battle that ended with you losing your children? Do you want to ask
your ex-spouse to let you have visitation with your children? Has
your ex-spouse moved out of state and you are no longer able to see
your kids? If you want to get your kids back from a family member or
ex-spouse, you want some help from Dr. Phil and YOU ARE WILLING TO
APPEAR ON THE SHOW, email us your story.

[We encourage you to send them your story.  Obviously, very few will
make it on the show.  But the VOLUME of responses will hopefully
encourage them to pay more attention to the topic in the future -
Ed.]

NBC Today Show looking for parent's input - Civil Right to be a parent?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
[We'd encourage you to go to the link below and make the point of
your parenting issue -- I've been denied the right to be a EQUAL
parent to my own children.  Isn't it time we thought about
protecting Family Rights in the United States? - Ed.]

The Today show has an upcoming month long show on parenting tips and
concerns and is excepting emails about thoughts, worries, wisdoms on
parenting.  I thought it might be interesting for non custodial
parents to write in and see if they will listen.  Basically the
concerns would be how do you raise your children when you don't get
to see them very much or how to deal with your children when the
other parent is slowing alienating your child away from you.  I
think if enough people wrote to them they might listen especially
since divorce is one of the biggest problems today and many children
are facing it.  Here is the link to send your questions, concerns,
etc.

Dear Senator Clinton,

Why won't you meet with John Murtari? It's my understanding he will be in the hallway of your office building tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Will he be arrested again, for no good reason?

From his newsletter "we'd like the Senator to meet with parents hurt by the system (first), and then call for Congressional Hearings into Family Law Reform and the passage of a Federal Family Rights Act to protect parent's rights."

I'm going to cc this to my own Iowa Senators, Chuck Grassley and Tom Harkin, as well as Governor and Mrs. Vilsack and Dr. Stephen Baskerville in hopes that someone will show concern and positive action.

Children (after divorce) across America want and deserve to have Equal Parents, not fathers as mere checkbooks.

Father's Issues / Excellent Websites

For those just joining the regularly scheduled program here on SPARC, I believe it to be one of the best, if not THE best on the web for helpful info.
If you go up to General Info, click on the pull-down and make a donation.

I posted the info below on the Iowa board, but since this one seems to be the most widely read, thought it wise to post here too.

It is CRUCIAL that every single noncustodial Texan possible, even out of staters, ATTEND this hearing if you're anywhere in or near Houston ! ! !

http://www.indianacrc.org/coord-TX.html <--contact info here for the Texas coordinator if you need more info.

This hearing will "determine" IF there are *enough* TX NCPs to make a Class. (DUH!) My understanding is all you have to do is polish up yer boots, slide on your string tie, dust off yer Stetson and be a WARM BODY!  No testimony, no nuthin'! Just literally stand up and be counted. Now's your chance "rednecks";) and all, stand tall and POLITELY, look "Texas Justice" squarely in the eye!

Exact time, room, or floor to be determined. I'll post as soon as is sent to me. Please don't post a bunch of messages on this thread, other than to bump. Thanks!
