Thanks for the replys... I just needed to vent, lol. According to her he would be in contempt because she has joint educational rights and she doesnt approve of her missing the first 3 days of school. Thats why I called it drama and bull, lol. It not like its an every year thing, just a one time deal. She just has to have control over every part of her daughters life, I guess.
Thanks again :)

Second Families / Tired of drama/bull in my life
Jul 19, 2012, 02:52:31 PM
Its been a long time since I've been here and this is more of a rant than anything I guess. We've planned a vacation, I had to give my ex our kids (14,16 & i have a 19yr old. sd 15)schedule in May. Hubby knew we only had a couple of weeks all summer we had all 4 of our kids, he gets 1 week uninterupted with sd, as he has 50/50(half week here/half week there). His ex got her week in. By the time hubby got her his time, we were down to 1 week left where we had all the kids. It happens to be the week school starts, and Dh cant change it at work now. So now sd is coming and telling us her mom says if she misses the first 3 days of school, that she will file contempt on DH.... WTF??  Because she has equal educational rights?? just tired of all the drama after 13 yrs with DH's ex. So now it sounds like we wont have a family vacation at all, which my kids are upset about. My ex doesnt care if they miss school so we can have a vacation. Grrrrrrr.... its just sad  :(

I know if the child is getting SSI, that a portion of the child support the NCP pays, gets deducted from the SSI payment, its like 2/3, I think. I don't know if the same applys for an adult getting SSI though. I know that because my daughter gets SSI, they don't count it as income for me, for calculating child support, and I am a SAHM to 4.

Hope this helps,

This sounds like my hubby's ex. My Sd (7) is always being taken in for something. Granted she does have some special needs, but the trip to the ER for Gas, was just too much. Some of the counseling appointments his ex has taken her to are for stupid reasons also, but I wont post those as who knows if she is reading this forum. I hear it is really hard to prove Munchausen's, but when we have described his ex's behavior, a social worker said it sure sounds like Munchausen's, and we didnt even know what it was then.

Good Luck,

>I seriously think she has munchausen disease.  My son grew up
>the first year of his life not going more than 2 weeks without
>being at the doctor.  Then it slowed to about a month.  When
>he was 3 she had another child.  Same scenario.  My son isn't
>at the doctor as much now, but her daughter is still at the 2
>week scenario.  And it's always because they are 'really,
>really sick'.  She's nuts.  She's not happy unless she's got
>one of them at the doctor... or in this case the counselor.

My SIL had a problem with her 17 yo DD a couple years ago. She wouldn't work, wouldn't help pay for car insurance, or gas, so my SIL sold her car, lol, as she had bought it in the first place.
Just so happens, I was looking to buy my hubby a car for Fathers day, so it worked out for both of us. Since my neice has turned 19 she is now working, but still doesn't have a car, but has learned that SHE has to pay for it if she wants it.

Parenting Issues / RE: What would you do? HELP!!

Thanks for that story, it is similar to our story. I do take pictures, I have a whole folder of them. Sometimes we try cuffing them, but they dont always stay, so I usually just tack up the hem, so that it can be undone. This time I didn't, so if she does take us to court, I at least have the pictures. I find that if I buy her capri's, in the larger waist size, they fit her perfect length wise, so I don't have to hem alot of the clothes we get her.

Thanks,

Parenting Issues / Update -- I did it.....
Feb 24, 2005, 07:59:06 PM
I cut them and hemmed them. Not to PO the BM, but after really talking it over with hubby, it was because of SD, I did it. We'll just wait and see if her BM notices it, maybe she won't. I am pretty good with a needle and thread, somedays, lol.

Parenting Issues / RE: What would you do? HELP!!

Oh, we do take her out of them at bed time. We don't send her clothes from here to her Mom's.
Our main problems is that they are endangering SD.  It would only take her mom 10-15 minutes to hem them herself, so that she isnt endangered.

The day she comes here she is probably in them since 7:30am till about 7:30pm. Then here for three days before she goes back to her BM's in them.

I really want to hem them like hubby says, but I know her BM is going to be PO'ed.
