Child Support Issues / I can answer that one....

The Feds are going to come first. If there are taxes owed or unpaid student loans, the money isn't going to the children.

It's going to the Feds.

and chances are, you will have to make support payments to the FOC with a check after you start drawing UI.

Good chance that if you are late, you can request the a chance to make up the difference with the courts by adding a bit with each payment until it is settled.

She doesn't have to have it, you know.  She can terminate with your consent.  Would you be willing to sign for her if she was willing to do that?

for child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Are the two kids in high school? Or is one in middle school and one in high school? That makes a difference, too.

This kid already sealed his fate.  If your daughter carries the pregnancy to term, and she decides to keep the child, he will owe child support until he is 35 years old. How's that for a punishment? And just think, he gets to deal with your ex wife, too.

I have a 19 year old that married his 16 year old girlfriend.  She is due in July. I feel your pain.

If a notice of intent to revoke a license is issued and the official date of revokation is August 2008, what exactly does that mean???

Does that mean that there is an intent to take the license if the  situation isn't resolved by August or does that mean that the license is revoked from the date of the letter?

Are you in the same county as your children? And are you making the same amount that you were when the judge gave the CO for $1500 a month?

Have you tried to get it lowered?  If you are making less money, you could apply for a reduction with a re-evaluation of the current ability to pay.

Other than paying the arrears in full, does California offer other options?

who files first.  If you file first, you get the deduction.  If she can prove that she provided more than 50% support, you lose.

A glimmer of hope in the middle of a hurricane?

Davy, my child WAS hidden from me but that didn't mean I wasn't responsible for paying the CS.

First thing judge is going to say is "if you didn't see in your child or pay support for 10 years, you are a poor excuse for a parent, I don't care what the reason was."
