She is trying to make you a babysitter while she can pursue her new career.  Free daycare, that is all she is looking for.  How frustrating for you.

I would keep telling her no, especially since you said the kids like the arrangement as it is now.

I don't know of any court that would order that type of custody arrangement.

My DH adopted my son several years ago.

There were a few major steps in the process.

1) Locate the absent parent
2) Social Services Investgates
3) Hearing to terminate the parental rights  
4) The adoption hearning

Steps 3 and 4 happened on the same day in our case.

You should have called your ex directly to let him know and work out the arrangments on picking up the kids.

Don't put the children in the middle or assume they will pass on anything to the other parent.   It is not their responsibility.

I have heard some commercials on the radio telling parents to put their kids in pre-school here in California.

Has some information that might be useful to you in supporting your son going to preschool.

On a personal note, 3 of my 4 children went to preschool, the one who didn't go to preschool is clearly not as strong academically as the other 3

My DH just did this in CA. (It might be different in your state/ county).

DH and the BM wrote up the agreement, took it to a Notary where they both signed it, the Notary did her thing, then it was filed with the court, and the Judge signed it.

Pretty easy, but the court required that the document was Notarized before it was filed.

Call your court clerk and ask them what they need for a stipulated agreement to be filed.

Be the bigger person and kill him with kindness :)  Your son will see you behaving like an adult and he will realize the boyfriend and your ex are crazy.

Chances are he is reacting based on false information your ex is feeding him.  If anything feel sorry for him that he is now stuck with her (or just laugh because he is)!!!

She didn't suck her thumb, but chewed on her fingernails.  The pressure on her top front teeth made them grow in really messed up, they looked like a "V".

She was 9 when we had the braces put on and she only had to wear them for 6 months, and then a retainer for 6 months.  Just long enough to get the adult teeth back to where they should be.

Her teeth are now beautiful and straight, she is really happy, and smiles a lot!!  We didn't realize how self conscious she was about them being crooked.
