My husband is gone on active duty with the military.  His ex-wife has recently told me that she plans to move to texas with the kids.  I am the POA for my husband while he is gone.  We have joint custody of the children, noone pays support and noone is the legal holder of custody.  It is to be divided as equally as possible.  Which for the last seven years, this has been done.  All of the sudden, he is gone, and she decides to move with her boyfriend (of seven years) to texas.  She has not discussed the matter with me until recently, I had to hear it from the kids.  After hearing this, I confronted her, where she tried to blow me off and said that it was just a possibility, but nothing looked promising.  Through reliable sources I have found the she fully intends to leave around oct to nov.  What can I do to stop her.  I have done alot of researching and have found that our states does require her to file a motion to amend custody.  Which I am sure she has no intention of doing.  What happens if she leaves the state and does not file the motion.  What can I do?  Help!

Immediately file a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO). In the TRO, specify that the children are to be prevented from leaving the State.

Also, read these:

One of the first things you'll hear around here is "Document, document, document!". Get yourself either the Parenting Time Tracker (PTT) or the OPTIMAL Custody Tracking service (http://www.parentingtime.net). The PTT is good, but the OPTIMAL service is better.
