State is Missouri.

I recently came across statutory law (I thought I did???) that cited the Division of Child Support Enforcement's ability to Intercept Tax Refunds for arrearages. Now I cannot locate anything on this matter.

1. Is this Federal or State Laws that govern this issue?

2. Can both STATE and FEDERAL returns be intercepted?

3. Where can I find the above mentioned statutes?

Thanks again  :)

I know I'm not SOC but in my state (Maryland) both federal and state taxes can be intercepted.  Here it is based on how much you owe, like if you owe 500 they take state if you owe more than that they take federal, of course if you owe a ridiculous amount they take both.  Fiance has his 100 and something dollar check taken from state and then his 3250 check taken from federal...

Both.

Depends on State law.

>3. Where can I find the above mentioned statutes?

I'm not a directory. I apply law to case facts, analyze them and conclude as to the best course of action.

If you have case facts, post them, otherwise you'll have to search the net on your own.
