So, my son has surgery tomorrow at 10am. I don't want the step mom there because I am my son's mother not her. Do I have a right to say she can't be there? He's getting adnoids out and tubes put in. I don't want too many people around him when the surgery is over. Maybe I am being ridiculous I don't know. I just don't want to deal with her BS tomorrow.

I just got a bill from my son's Ear Nose and Throat doctor for $250 something. He is on Medicaid. For some reason, Medicaid wouldn't pay for his ear tube removal. Any ideas as to why they will pay to have them put in, but not pay to have them removed? FWIW, we had to have the ear tubes taken out and are getting new ones put in. That is according to what my son told me. My ex won't talk to me about any of this. I thought the tubes just fell out and we are having new ones put in on the 17th because he still needs them. Why would you need to pay for tubes to get removed anyway. Don't they fall out on their own after a while? I will talk to the doctor at my son's appointment on Monday about this stuff, but thought I would see if you all had any ideas to share. Thanks. This is my first time dealing with ear tubes.

I got my kids grades after a chat with the Principal. Mostly I's and N's for my oldest and my youngest is getting held back. They were doing well in school before I moved out of the home. Would this help my fight for custody of the kids?

I am not the primary parent for my children. I chose to give them up to their father, and I think that was the worst mistake I ever made. He doesn't include me in anything and I hear about important events from the kids after they happen. I have two boys, so I figured he would teach them to be men better than I could. Boy, was I wrong? Ever wish you could go back and make decisions again. My ex husband had an affair on me and kicked me out of the house and moved his new girlfriend in. I was homeless for a while, which is why I left the kids with him.

When it comes to the kids, aren't I entitled to know everything related to them. My son has ear surgery coming up on the 17th, a specialist appointment on the 13th and a hearing test scheduled for the 9th. I didn't find out about it until the lady at the doctors office called to me. She was calling to confirm my information because my ex listed me as the main payee of the medical bills. My kids are covered by medicaid because I am currently unemployed. Shouldn't he be the main payee becasue he has the kids the majority of the time. Also,  shouldn't I have the right to know about upcoming surgeries for my kids? Also, he scheduled the appointments during my two weeks. Shouldn't I be the one scheduling the appointments that will occur during my time with the kids? What information is he supposed to share with me?

I smacked my ex in the shoulder because he wouldn't let me see the boys grades. His wife called the cops on me, so now I am facing assault charges.  Just for a little smack on the arm.
