TO MANY FATHER'S GROUPS?

AFTER SPENDING A GOOD PART OF WHAT SEEMS LIKE MY LIFE ON THE INTERNET.  I HAVE CAME ACROSS ALOT OF HELPFULL INFO FROM ALOT OF DIFFERNT GROUPS.
ALL OF WHICH SEEM TO HAVE ONE THING IN COMMON.
FATHERS RIGHTS-
WHAT I'M SAYING IS IF ALL OF THESE GROUPS FORMED ONE BIG ONE, WOULDN'T WE HAVE MORE OF A VOICE THAN WE DO NOW.
I NEVER SEE ANYTHING ON THE NEWS, NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES ABOUT FATHERS RIGHTS AND NEW LAWS PERTAINGING TO IT.
ANYWAYS, I WAS JUST THINKING THIS.
I'M TIRED NOW I THINK I'LL GET MY COUPLE HOURS ZZZZZZZZ, SO I CAN DO THIS DAY ALL OVER AGAIN , AND AGAIN, AND AGAIN..........

This site is really focused on "parents rights". Yes, there is a "Fathers Issues" board, but SPARC deals with non-custodial parents of both genders.

brent, enough about the shouting this typing for god's sake.  and the issue is fathers rights, if we fathers had the 'little' problems mothers might face in courts, we wouldn't even be having this confersation!

Ok,, lets get something straight right now.


The issues here at SPARC are Non Custodial Parents issues. Period. Fathers simply happen to BE the NCP in most cases.

Fathers rights groups?? Dont make me laugh. I spent several hundred dollars joining and utilizing the resources( if you want to call them resources), of the Dallas Fathers for Rqual Rights. I learned next to nothing, and got nowhere.

SPARC has armed me with more knowledge and understanding than any fathers rights group. Guess what,, its the SM's that have taught me the most LOL.

Tell you what, instead of standing around "shouting" at folks about what you percieve as the problems, try organizing a grass roots movement yourself. If you bothered to read anything on this site at all, you would have discovered that many parents have recieved the help they need, there are good tools and practical knowledge for one and all.

In case you havent noticed, parents involved in custody disputes or facing inequitable treatment in family courts,, arent worried about fathers rights groups, or mothers rights groups, ,, they are worried about their children.

1.  The fundamental issue is indeed kid's rights.  This website has a good children's bill of rights addressing some of these concerns.

2.  To protect our children's rights, we address parental rights (but only in the context of a parent's obligations to his children).

3.  SPARC is committed to parent's rights, and in particular - the rights of non-custodial parents.  As a custodial parent, I have felt very supported at SPARC, but this is because we are addressing the best way to protect the rights of our children (including the right to two loving and supportive parents).

4.  However, the most common biases found in family courts are against fathers, who are typically denied custody of their children.  This deltabravo website was originally focused on father's rights to custody.  Unlike the worst excesses of the feminazis, most Father's do not want an advantage or preference, they merely wish equal access.  I therefore do sympathize with this gentleman's frustration and desire for "Father's Rights".
