Hi!

I'm a researcher and writer who is doing a study of marriages that end when
 the husband leaves suddenly. These would be situations in which the wife
 believed herself to be in a good marriage and says she didn't see it coming.
 I'm looking for men who suddenly left their marriages to participate in my
 study by completing an on-line questionnaire.
 
 I would also like to hear from men whose wives left suddenly, without
 forewarning.
 
 I'd love to hear the point of view of any men that you know of in this
 situation.  It will help to have a balanced view of the phenomenon of sudden
 endings!

No one wakes up one day and decides to leave without ever having the thought before.  Yes, the left spouse might have been caught off guard or completely surprised by it but I'm betting the leaving spouse would deny that it was suddenly and that there were warning signs prior to his/her leaving.
