I know exactly what you are saying, Indie. Believe me, right now I would give just about anything anything for my daughter to forget about about her bio-dad. She would be much better off having never met him than she is loving him and being totally ignored by him. I know he would never try to take her away from me, he wouldn't stand a snowball's chance. But I am the one who has to try to make her feel better everytime he breaks her heart.

You are exactly right that a child is better off not knowing the parent who never wanted him/her. If she can raise the child alone, without his financial support, she should do it. But you have to remember that this kid is going to want to know his/her father.
