Daycare vs. parent
« on: Jul 21, 2014, 04:25:22 PM »
I am trying to find professional statements and published research studies that support these two claims:

It is more beneficial for a child to be with a parent than in daycare.

Having both parents involved as much as possible is crucial for the emotional development of a child.

If anyone can give me help, it would be greatly appreciated.

There are some on this site, though they may be dated. Look through the Articles Archive.

Here are just a few that might be along the lines of what you're looking for:

Children's Post-Divorce Needs

Child Development Research to Make Appropriate Custody Decisions

Benefits of Joint Custody

There are lots more like this as well as on other topics as well.

Also, this search on "daycare" might have some articles.

The trouble with reality is that there's no background music.
