I probably don't even belong out here with this post. It's sorta premature for the nature of this site. I'm not even where all of you are at. I am a father of one being threatened with divorce and I have no money to speak of for legal aid. I do not qualify under low-income brackets. My state legal aid society does not even handle divorce issues at all. My wife is threatening legal jihad and has the unlimited financial backing of mommy and daddy. I have no such sponsor. I live from paycheck to paycheck just keeping the family going.
Do attorney's work out fee schedules? What sort of options have I?

Do you live in a metro area that has a law school?  Often, some law schools will take on cases for little or nothing, just for the learning experience of the students.  And before you think they won't represent you as well as a seasoned atty., think about this:  a seasoned atty. will be more likely to brush over things that a student will pick up on.  Law students are there to learn and will go over everything with a fine tooth comb to make sure they don't miss anything.  Plus they will have to have everything they do approved by a law professor.

I know the law school with the university I work for will accept certain cases...........if you have something similar, it wouldn't hurt to check into it.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog........if you can't play with it or eat it, pee on it and walk away.......

I was just having one of those moments where the thought went through my head "affordable legal representation? WHAT A JOKE!"

However, you did give what sounds like a good suggestion.

I hope he finds someone.
