I have a friend that needs some advice. He has not seen his daughter in over a year. He has been mailing certified letters of intent to exercise visitation and everytime her attorney sends a letter stating that they are going to have to deny the visitation due to her saftey.

They went to court around a year and a half ago and the judge ordered them to a PC. They agreed that one day everyother weekend until Feb. 04. The visits was happening until the first over night. Then she started saying that she did not agree. She has PAS very badly.

They just got a new lawyer and see her this coming up Tuesday. It took this long to come up with the money, The last time in court cost over 20,000 and they have 4 other kids at home. My questions are:

1. How bad is it going to look that it has been over a year?
2. Should they ask that she has to pay for the attorney fees since she denied the visitation?
3. Would the letters from her attorney dening the visits help?
4. Can they request that she attend classes on denial visitation and the effects it has on children?
5. If they get visitiation should they get her into a child councilor? This child has been very upset over not getting to come over and see her daddy, stepmom, and brother and sisters.
