Hi I am new to this board but I am needing help. My husband has shared parental custody which basicly means nothing since the courts wont hold up the laws. We have been fighting for custody of his 2 boys for 3 years now and itsgotten harder since she moved out of the state. We live in Florida and she is in Arizona.
The problem is that we went to court last July and got a visitation order that said the children were to come and visit on certain dates and we were to share the cost. Well the forst visit went good then the next did not happen and then we got tickets for them in MArch and shewould not send them. We ewnt back to court after they were supposed to be here to try and find her in contempt and the jusdge slapped her on the wrist and said just pay for the first trip and send them in the summer, my husband only sees his kids now a couple times a year and its not enough. He used to have them every tuesday and thursday night and then also every other weekend.
The main cooncern we have is that she has statred she is keep ing them from him and she has also stated she dies not like sending them out to see their father. We represent ourself and the courts are not enforceing the orders they agree to put in effect.
PLease can anyone help us and tell us who we should contact to get help. We are fighting o hard and its for the children she wont even get them help and they need to see soemoen due to emotional problems which we think isfrom not seein their dad enough.
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US. I HAVE DONE ALMOST EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF AND WE DONT WANT TO GIVE UP....

I hope you are keeping things well documented. Phone calls, letters, travel tickets. With a court order in place, they should find her in contempt. File everytime she denies his parenting time. Start using a Parenting Time tracker.

Many attorneys offer free consultation. Check with a few. If anything, you should come away with some knowledge on what can be done.
Any chance you could hire an attorney to handle this for you?

What she is doing to those kids is wrong. Too bad that she is dying everytime she has to send them. They need their father too. How would she feel if the situation were reversed.

What ever you do, DO NOT GIVE UP!

I have been keeping up everything I am studying to be a paralegal that specialiazes in Family Law. I keep everything including the last time when I had to cancel the tickets and get them refunded. \

We can not afford another attorney. In fact we have even exhausted family memebers for help with this.

I agree that what se is doing is wrong and when the children come out in the summer we are going to evaluate what we have found out and then we are going to decided if the children really need help or if she is just still lying to the courts.
