Florida DCFS ignoring me!!

Hello,
Hope someone has some help.  My situation is this.  In August of 2003 my children were removed from the home of my X for various serious reasons.  On Sept 11 I went to court to ask the judge for custody.  Because I live out of state , he ordered an interstate home study be done.  To my suprise, the paperwork wasn't even started until Nov 6.  Needless to say my X is continuing to go through the case plan.  I initiated with a copy of the compact, my homestudy in my home state.  They immediatily started the study and I am only waiting for the fingerprint results.  I'm afraid that because of the time period in doing the paperwork, now if the study is complete on myself, Florida DCFS may fight the custody being turned over to me.  The X has pulled the wool over their eyes, but has called me on occasions which I know she has been drinking.  This is part of her case plan.  Anyway, any suggestions?  Please Help!!
