Someone have any ideas... I was awarded only visitation the first time I went to court in Alaska.  I was told by several different atorneys that 50/50 is always the norm.  I was given visitation only, with a percentage of custody.  I recently went back to court because my ex was not following the custody order, blatantly disregarding it and admitted it in court.  However, this time I had my custody rights completely taken away.  I lost time with my kids.  I was actually punished for trying to take my ex into court for sanctions.  She is really good about turning on the tears and everything she said was taken at face value.  She even told the judge that my cousin and best friend was a pedifile and he is no longer allowed to see them, this was put into the custody order!  Even though there was nothing to substanciate it and he is a decorated police detective and his wife runs a day care!  I need help, the judge is very sexist and took no weight in any evidence that I submitted.

It sounds like you may want to consider having a custody evaluation done. For information on custody evaluations. click here:

One of the first things you'll hear is "Document, document, document!". Having good records is crucial, and these pages will help get you started (some of these pages will apply more than others, but they all have valuable information):

Also, get yourself either the Parenting Time Tracker (PTT) at: http://www.deltabravo.net/custody/tracker.htm or the OPTIMAL Custody Tracking service at: http://www.parentingtime.net. The PTT is free, but the OPTIMAL service is better.

Hi,

Sorry to hear of that experience.

In addition to perhaps having psych evaluations done, you really need a lawyer on this one.

Judge feels free to walk all over you.  Lawyer will ensure that relevant evidence is considered.  Lawyer will ensure that contempt is filed and argued correctly.

This doesn't guarantee that a lawyer will make any difference on this case, but it sounds clear that this judge doesn't like you.  With the judge already biased against you, you don't stand a chance with the big disadvantage of not knowing the law.

Lawyers are expensive, but as this lesson may have taught you, not having a lawyer can sometimes be truly unaffordable.

The longer you want, the longer the status quo remains in place, which is a bad thing.

Go back to those attorneys and ask what they recommend at this point.

Best wishes on this.  This could be a couple years before seeing significant resolution, so stay strong.

the county, the state, etc. Labelling him as a pedophile in a court document is messing with his livelihood. If the judge saw no evidence, but merely took your ex's word for it, your cousin and his wife should also name your ex. See if maybe a ten million dollar suit will change anyone's mind quickly.

It is not unheard of for Alaska to put someone's name on the Sexual Predator's list without a trial and conviction.
A true soldier fights, not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves whats behind him...dear parents, please remember not to continue to fight because you hate your ex, but because you love your children.
