I am trying to find professional statements and published research studies that support these two claims:

It is more beneficial for a child to be with a parent than in daycare.

Having both parents involved as much as possible is crucial for the emotional development of a child.

If anyone can give me help, it would be greatly appreciated.

There are some on this site, though they may be dated. Look through the Articles Archive (http://deltabravo.net/cms/plugins/content/content.php).

Here are just a few that might be along the lines of what you're looking for:

Children's Post-Divorce Needs (http://deltabravo.net/cms/plugins/content/content.php?content.311)

Child Development Research to Make Appropriate Custody Decisions (http://deltabravo.net/cms/plugins/content/content.php?content.302)

Benefits of Joint Custody (http://deltabravo.net/cms/plugins/content/content.php?content.291)

There are lots more like this as well as on other topics as well.

Also, this search on "daycare (http://deltabravo.net/cms/search.php?q=daycare&s=Search&r=0)" might have some articles.

The trouble with reality is that there's no background music.
