My son was hit by a car Thursday. His hip and left thigh shattered. There will be no way he can work for at least 12 weeks and he wont be able to return to his current job.   Any suggestions or what the odds are of a downward modification?  We'll be filing right away tomorrow.

Definitely file and ask....

and you just never know.

Even today -- doc says one thing, and you gotta hope and pray for the best.

You're doing the right thing by filing.....and just go forward from there.

When you file, make sure you put that it would be back dated to the filing date. Get proof of accident and dr letters that he will be out of work for xx weeks and then rehab for xx weeks. If you can talk to ex, maybe agree to a lower number until he is back to work again. It will take a few weeks to get into court for first hearing so it may drag out longer than he is out of work.
