Well a few weeks ago I posted about how mom was going to take ss to a doctor that dad did not agree with (they have joint primary residential custody) and my question was if mom was in contempt of custody  order?

You asked for me to give exact wording of order to make a determination, so here it is "The parties have shared parental responsibility...in which both parents confer with each other so that major decision affecting the welfare of the child will be determined jointly."

So what do you think?

Does bm have to talk with dad before she takes child to a dr that dad does not agree with?

Thanks

Probably not, if it's just an examination, unless bm wants dad to share the bill, or there's some evidence that this dr. is a quack.

Howver, if the outcome of the appointment is a recommeded course of practice that will require substantial time and/or money, then that course would have to be agreed upon.

Quack, no but he was kicked out of his residency program (that is why he is practicing here) and yes she would expect dad to pay for half and yes there would be a sustantial amount of money put out.

Thanks for all your help this year, and in past, and I hope you have a great...and not too crazy New Year holiday!!!
