They're not arrears if you paid and you can prove them paid. You will get credit for the amount paid.

If the CP agrees that support is paid up to date, then the court will probably agree.

If the two parents are in agreement on everything, then you just register the existing order and then file a motion for entry of a stipulated modification of support in a different amount, and serve it on the employer, who will stop garnishing.
