AG Mike Cox Sir, What does this mean?

Here is the press release claimed to have been published on September
23,2004. This release as of October 28, 2004 is now part of the Attorney
General Mike Cox's web site under "Press Releases"

http://www.michigan.gov/ag/0,1607,7-164-17345_18167-101121--M_2004_9,00.html

-----------?????????????????????????????????----------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the actual Press release Mr. Cox's office sent to the media on
that same day. September 23, 2004

http://news.findlaw.com/prnewswire/20040923/23sep2004171907.html

If you compare the two press releases side-by-side does it raise the
question, "What happened to all the contest information that was in the
orginal press release, but now missing on the press release currently on
your State Attorney General Mike Cox's web site under "Press Releases"?

Can we have a Comment Mr. Cox?

but I thought he received so much slack - and one of the corporate sponsors (Domino's??) pulled out - - - that he realized the billboard contest was ah, how should I put it, hmmmm DUMB AS HELL.

Here is article about Domino's:

http://www.freep.com/news/latestnews/pm680_20041008.htm

And he dropped it:

Do does that make him an idiot, or a damn idiot?

Everyone wrote and  Dominics gracefully pulled out.

This is what I do not understand, both articles released the same day from same source. This is what has been edited. I WONDER WHY?

The top three choices will receive a Certificate of Recognition and letter of congratulations from the Attorney General. And, the winner, will have their rendering reproduced into a billboard in a prominent location in Southeast Michigan adjacent to one of the major highways in January 2005. As you can see, BIG DIFFERENCE. Shame on Mike.

Offering kids a bribe should be 'illegal', or never take candy from a stranger...

Dude,

What more do you want?  The guy conceded to public opinion.  He removed offensive information from his website, even if it meant editing historical documents.

That's about as good as it gets.  Very few public officials or corporations would ever admit wrong-doing.  They just concede silently, and that in itself is a home run for activists.

He's not necessarily an evil guy who must be destroyed.  He made a very stupid decision on that contest, and he got called on it.  Maybe he learned from it.

If he's going after parents who don't pay child support -- but may be able to pay -- that's a service to society.

I was just updating everyone on the website.

Many here wrote letters in regard to this issue and thought they would like to see it finally off, 'officially'.
