Child care expense question.

In my state, child support includes all child care costs.  The amount that they come at for the child care costs is net of the tax benefit that the CP gets from the child care costs.

I get both exemptions because my ex wanted me to accept his reneging on our settlement agreement.  That was one of the conditions.  Typically, the courts, when they address it, do split the exemptions between the parents or alternate when there is only one child or an odd number of children.

If the exemptions aren't addressed during the divorce or agreement for non-married parents, the CP is the one who gets them per the IRS.
