Ok here goes nothing......my husband has a daughter from a prior marriage, they divorced when child was about 2.  Husband remarried and has 2 children from this marriage.  About the time the 1st child was 5 husband had back surgery and was off work for a long time and behind in his child support, in mean time mother of 1st child remarried.  Now comes to father and wants new hubby to adopt child, bio-father agrees after talking with family, friends, counsler, lawyer.  Mother tells father that he will still beable to see child, and does for about 4 yrs.  Now 2nd marriage ends in divorce.  And 3 years later we marry.  Bio Mother of 1st child will not let him have nothing to do with child once 2nd divorce has taken place.  Now child will be 14 in a few months, and wants to live with bio-father.  Mother has lied to her about everything, and feels her whole live is a lie and wants nothing to do with mother.  Is there anything the bio father can do?  We know he has given up rights, but really wants to help daughter.

I really don't think there is much he can do as the other man has adopted the child.

All you can do is try to keep in contact with the child and hope for the best. Or contact an attorney to see if he has other options.

From a legal point of view, I don't believe there is anything you can do. But get a free consultation from an attorney to find out.

From a practical point of view... How far away does she and biomom live? Suppose the child runs away from home, and comes to you... You call biomom, she will call police, and police will come to you, pick her up, and bring her back to biomom. If she runs away to you again, same thing may happen. If it happens a 3rd time, police will probably not do a thing (since she's already 14).
Just make sure you inform biomom as soon as she arrives, so she can't charge you with kidnapping.

Check with an attorney...

Because Bio-Mom allowed contact after the adoption there may be options available. Although I haven't seen or done much researchin family law adoptions I have done some research in child welfare type situations and adoptions.

There have been dependency cases of adoption where a bio-parents rights were terminated but later allowed visitation and in one case in Oregon a father obtained custody after an ugly situation involving the adoptive parents.

This is going to take an expert in adoption laws rather than an expert in family law to assit you with.
