in my state our atty says the small hearings sometimes are useless and he doesnt like to do them unless completely necessary, 90% of his cases go to trial before  judge and we save the best for that.

Keep you chin up, how we are looking at it, regardless of the outcome, at least dh can show the kids he did everything he could for them.
