Everything I read says get this book.  But it looks like there are 2 different ones:
Win Your Child Custody War: Child Custody Help Source Book, 10th Edition   (2000)
and
Win Your Child Custody War: Custody Winning Strategies: A How-To System for People Serious About the Welfare of Their Child  (I think this is April 1994 but I'm not positive)

Does anyone know about these 2 books, and which would be better.  I would like to get it for my brother who is beginning what will be an ugly custody battle.

The "Win Your Child Custody War: Child Custody Help Source Book, 10th Edition" is the real one, the others are knockoffs. Read the review here:

Are you sure the second is a knockoff?
They are both by Charlotte Hardwick.  They are both $79.  The first is ISBN 09640227-1-0 (January 2000) and the other is  09640227-0-2 (April 1994).  Just wanted to double check before I ordered the first one.

"Knockoff" was the wrong word for me to use, but regardless, it's not the one you want. The "Source Book" is the one you want.

The "Source Book" has actually been updated after 2000, it's updated every year. There was so much added to the "Source Book" this year that they had to reduce the size of the font and print it on thinner paper to get all the additions in there (really). They also 'perfect bound' it and set most of it in a 2-column format. It's the book you want, trust me.

Pale Horse Publishing has been a long-time supporter of SPARC. If you get a book from Pale Horse through a link on the SPARC site, SPARC gets a tiny commission. But we'd recommend their book whether or not we did; it's that good.
