She was pretty confident that she passed, since she quit using 4 days before the test, but she just found out she failed it.
She walked out on the kids completely today. She's not doing anything the judge told her to do, or going back to court.

Then you and the kids have won.

Tulip, hang in there.

Hopefully she'll clean up her act and become more involved with the kids at some point.

Her walking out right now IS a good thing.  Those kids do not need to be by a druggie.  I am so happy for you all that she failed the test!  DH and I know how hard it is to prove drug use!

Hugs to you, DH and kids!

She signed a paper telling dh that she is giving him custody. She tape recorded a message telling dh that she is giving him custody. Later, he had to tell the kids, and they were devastated, reading a note she left for them. She called them later and told dh and the kids that she is very sorry about all the bad things she's said about me. That she did that out of jealousy, because I was doing all the things for them that a good mom should do, and she wasn't.

It's a huge relief. I really hope she gets some help, though, because the kids need her. My biggest fear right now is that she might be suicidal. It's pretty common for people with her problems, and she has had those tendencies for a long time. She said she thinks she can quit the drugs by herself, and she doesn't need to go to treatment. I completely disagree--she is very mentally ill. But the fact that she admitted it, FINALLY, is a huge step. I think the hardest thing for the kids, is that she has been lying to them for so long.

Wow!  But, you have won, which is a big weight lifted off your and DH's shoulders.  The drug she is on is very hard to quit and chances that she will go back are high.  I am happy to see though that she saw the light and hopefully she will go to treatment because, unfortunately, there is no quitting that drug without it.

She has been calling all day. She wants to sit down and talk, blah, blah. I don't want to talk to her, and I don't want the kids to talk to her until she cleans up her act.
