Custody trial to begin, AGAIN!

Our custody trial is set to begin next week, again!  It was delayed because BM's lawyer didn't submit the order from the forensics evaluation in February so our lawyer submitted it in June, then it was not ready on scheduled date of 9/27, and judge FORGOT to block out her calendar on 10/28 and after sitting around for 4 hours and paying our lawyer a discounted $1100 for the day we were all sent home.

Now we find out there are problems with BM and her lawyer and he might not be representing her any longer. What now?  We have exhausted our resources with lawyer fees, almost nothing has gotten done because we are never in front of the judge for more than a few minutes.  

Of course it is in BM's best interest to prolong the trial as she is on the verge of losing custody.  But we are expecting our child, my first in 5 weeks, the kids have been relocated 6 times in 2 years each time farther away from all family members, and have been enrolled in 5 schools.  BM was diagnosed with all sorts of scary behavioral issues that the evaluator stated will have serious consequences on these children and step-dad is a violent convict who spent years in prison for among other things domestic violence and is currently on probation for soliciting a prostitute near the children's home.

It is ordered that DH speak to his children everyday between 7-7:15 he installed 2 phone lines in 2 years costing nearly $700 in addition to the service, BM always interfered and was even ordered to reimburse some service fees for abusing this line herself. DH refused to keep doing installing phonelines everytime she feels the need to move, especially since step-dad is an electrician, but stated in court he does not know how install telephone jacks, duh!. Yeah and me Plumber husband can only run cold water lines not hot.  He will not call her house as she say DH harrasses her on the phone and had him falsely arrsted 2x for it, which we proved in criminal court.  
It was decided in the hallway at the last court date that until we decide something else she will have the kids call him every day and this week 4 out of 7 she has not.  We proposed that she have a cell phone put in the children's room in her home that she will be responsible for and we will do the same, so there is no uncontrollable abuse to the phone or line but of course she decided not to get back to us.

What the **** is going on ?  We are frustrated beyond belief.  Any encouraging words would be appreciated.
