My ex wife is an alcoholic and hopeless drug addict. After years of abusing and neglecting my children she finally relenquished physical custody to me. Now she is renigging on her promise to sign over legal custody to me. The children are 14 and 15 and neither wants to see her ever again. I am on a very, very limited budget and cannot afford expensive legal council or court fees. What can I do?

If you want Soc to respond you need to put this on his board. Also state how long you have had the children in your care.

I copied to his board for you. (it will show that I posted it so you may want to check their to see if he responded)

:)

LeF,

Soc responded to you on his board, if you want more of an answer, you may want to inform him on how long the children have been in your care etc.

File an immediate Motion to Change custody. Often forms are available from your court administrator.

If not, use a different motion form and type it up to address your specific issues. Support the Motion with a sworn affdidavit (a notarized statement) specifically identifying your reasons for the change.
