What do you do in NYS when the trial judge, Sheriff and appelate judge are neighbors of your ex and colluded to take custody of your child. No kidding here as I have FOIL obtained tapes of the Sheriff attempting to influence the court and his words in the custody decision even as he never testified. The Appelate judge lived with (paramour) the Sheriff our county who arranged to have me arrested after my wife assaulted me and broke three of my teeth in front of my daughter. The appelate judge also chairs the professional conduct committee for judges. I have foil obtained police tapes proving many but not all of my allegation, in addition, three psychologists have all testified that my ex is moderately to severely mentally ill and an alcoholic and that I should have either joint or sole custody. My 13 year old daugher has even written to the judge to no avail. Her attorney is intimately involved with both judges and does an active real estate practice with close friends of my wife. I am a physician and hold a high level managerial job with the state of NY. Despite over $400,000 in legal fees, bruises on my child from her mother, over ten false filings by my ex and thousands of pages of documents to prove perjury I cannot get relief in the court as their is no outside oversight. This was even investigated by the NYS Commission of Investigation but they ended up referring right back to the same appelate judge for oversight. I have a  pending false arrest civil right case on appeal with the Federal Court but this will take years. In addition, it does nothing to protect my daughter.
Any suggestions?

Call the news media.  They would LOVE to get their hands on that kind of a story.  Call everyone from your local news stations, the newspapers, to the network news programs.  Call John Stossel - who has previously covered PA and PAS.

I wouldn't suggest calling and leaving a message with the newsroom.  Your best bet is to do some research on which reporters cover stories like that, and then contact them directly.  Then they can champion your story to the editor, news director, etc.

Sometimes public humiliation is the only thing that gets people's attention.

You could also file complaints against the judge.  Here is a link to the NY State Commission on Judicial Conducts "Rules of Conduct": http://www.scjc.state.ny.us/Legal%20Authorities/rgjc.htm

and a link to the complaint form:  http://www.scjc.state.ny.us/filing_a_complaint.htm

You can also file complaints against the Sheriff.  When is the next election for Sheriffs in your county?  Would those tapes make a nice little expose on someone who's running for office?

Thanks for the reply but..
Governor got involved and referred to the NYS Commission who agreed there was a problem and referred it right back to the judicial commission headed by the same appellate judge who then dismissed my complaint in four days (they did not even read the transcripts)
Newpapers don't want to touch it. Tried both through my civil rights attorney and independently.
County Legislature was afraid to touch - politically to hot.
I asked the Internal Affairs office in Sheriff's Department to investigate and they said no, despite their own recording impugning the guy.

I need someone who really wants to take on a rotten system. A reformist of sorts. Who is John Stossel? I will look him up also.

Thanks for the suggestions.
