Custody fight after all

Dear Socrateaser:
I've written before--about PAS--and visitation interference, etc. Now our attorney thinks the only option we have left is going for custody.
We were worried that, with her Phd in cognitive psych, she could fool an evaluator, so we want someone well versed in PAS.
You may remember that his son, who is 16, is willing to testify to child abuse. He is the alienated one.
The alleged abuse was a spanking. In five years this woman with an extensive edecation in psychology has never sought couseling for them.
We want to pick the evaluator. Everyone in her town (small) is intimidated by her doctorate.

1. How far out of her town can we go to find an evaluator?

2. How do we find one she won't fool and who is well-versed in PAS?

3. Will the judge listen to one we pick?

4. Will a polygraph proving there was no abuse be helpful?

5. Can we ask that she help pay for an evaluator?

Thanks Soc!

>1. How far out of her town can we go to find an evaluator?

Anywhere within the Earth's atmosphere. The court may refuse to recognize a certification from an alien lifeform.

Try to find the author of an important paper on the subject of PAS, then hire that person. Scare the crap out of your opponent.

>3. Will the judge listen to one we pick?

That's what judges  are supposed to do. I can't speak for the judge in your case.

>4. Will a polygraph proving there was no abuse be helpful?

If the other party will stipulate to admitting it into evidence, it will almost certainly convince the judge. Almost no one can beat the machine.

>5. Can we ask that she help pay for an evaluator?

You can and you should, but it's up to the judge.
