Soc,

Recap: I explained to you how my daughter acted towards me when I went to my son's baseball game earlier this week.  I have said nothing to them or the children regarding this.

Now ex and his SO have sent this to me (I have copy/pasted from email)

"For XXXX and XXXX's best interest we have explained the circumstances and the best way for them to respond in the future when asked any and all questions concerning me, XXX or anything else concerning this house, our schedules, etc.  They will simply reply that they are not sure and that you can ask us."

I am NCM, Ex has full custody, live 1.5 hours away, Indiana, have no orders preventing me from contact with children, teachers or anyone.

1) Don't I have the right to know what is going on in their lives?  I may be NCP, but I am still a parent!

2) If I ask for court ordered evaluation of my daughter, as you recommended earlier, will I be responsible for paying this or will it be split equally?

We have a court date set for June 22nd to "modify" visitation, support and transportation issues, per Ex's request.

Thank you.

I don't know. Post the EXACT text of your custody orders.

Depends on the judge. You could ask that the court reserve judgment as to the apportionment of the costs, but you will almost certainly have to pay them upfront and then hope for a credit later.
