My only income at this point is Social Security SSI not SSDI. In California.

On my Income FL-150 Document do I need to add the SSI as a form of income?

Can they take Child Support from my SSI?

Thank You

The test is whether you are receiving benefits based on your "need", i.e., you are being compensated for a loss. If so, then it's not income, it's return of capital.

If you're receiving benefits based on your past contributions, and you would receive these benefits regardless of whether or not you "needed" them, then that's income.

Under CA law, the court can consider income from all sources, however, the consideration is usually tempered by whether the money you receive substaintally changes your "station in life." For, example, a gift or inheritance of $1,000 from a relative would not change your lifestyle much, so it would not likely be considered, however a gift or inheritance of $100,000 would, and so it probably would be considered income.
