U.S. Mail or personal service will provide effective service. The attorney would need to consent to "direct" fax service advance. I'd use the attorney service -- that gets you an objective witness who can provide proof of service.

PS. start a new thread, unless the subject is service of this OSC.

I mailed it return receipt certified this morning.  I have the certified mail receipt as proof of mailing.

Now I need to file something with the court showing proof of service.  I'm looking at the "return of service" form.

Do I need to attach the original receipt or a copy?

You never file an original of an item of evidence. Only original pleadings are filed with the court. Supporting evidence are always copies.

Someone else, over the age of 18 and not a party to the case, mailed the order, not yourself, right, and that someone else will sign the proof of service, right?

RIGHT??? (extremely strong hint)

That is correct on the mailing....

I also just faxed the Motion and Order to a Process Server in Spokane.  They are going to personally serve the attorney and file a Return of Service with the Clerk this morning.

That should cover me?
