Hi Im in Texas

Ok we filed our motion to modify and had my X wife served.

Called today to schedule hearing date and was informed the Judge that has been on our case since 1994 has retired.

Clerk stated that we have new Judge and our case has moved fromCounty Court #2 to court #3. All our motions and information show County Court at law #2

Question:

With the change in Courts, will I need to refile my Motion to modify and have my X re-served or will it stand with the information I submitted?

Thank You
Robert

Everything is the same, except that you will need to educate a new judge as to what's goin' on.

Thank goodness. I was worried we would have to start completely over.

Educating a new Judge is no problem and is actually welcomed. We were hoping at some point our Judge would retire, he has always been too easy on my X....hes a friend of the family for many, many years.

Keep your fingers crossed this time, that we actually might get a fair hearing!
