Just Want A Divorce!

I filed for divorce in June 2005.
I live in Dallas, Texas.
My lawyer has given opposing counsel three different divorce proposals or settlements, this was all done on January 9th, 2006.
The opposing counsel is not returning emails or phone calls to my lawyer, so in turn my lawyer sent all three proposals certified mail which was signed for January 20,2006.

My attorney has now filed for an emergency hearing and currently we are waiting for the courts to get back with my lawyer on a date.

My question: 1. Will the Judge issue a divorce decree on this hearing being there were three different proposals given to opposing counsel, even if the ex agrees to none of them?

2. How much longer could this divorce take?

There was no property or children. I just wanted a clean cut divorce be gone and out of my life.   The onl thing was debt however I do not want to pay her debt, I assumed responsibility for all my debt and had that she assume all of hers.  I do not understand why it is taking so long.

Depends on whether your spouse's attorney and/or your spouse appear at the hearing and oppose a default judgment of divorce. If not, then the court will probably grant the divorce. Otherwise, I can't say one way or the other.

I don't read tea leaves. However, it appears that you're pretty close to being done.

Well, I'm sure if you agreed to take on her debt, things would go faster. I'm guessing that your spouse is not paying her attorney, so the attorney isn't answering your attorney, because there's no money in doing so. If so, no one will appear at your hearing and the judge will issue a default.

However, as to the debt itself, I can't tell you how the court might divide it, because I don't know how it was incurred or by whom and for what purpose(s).
