How long does it take to file?

DH's Court date was 10/30. He got his reduction and all of her contempts against him and request for reduction in his parenting time were thrown out the window.

His lawyer drafted the final order and her lawyer made some changes. Without any complaint, Dh's attorney put the ball back in BM's lawyers court. It has been over 30 days since BM's lawyer got her changes. How much longer will this take?

Just curious, it seems like a long time.

Don't know how long it takes but you should be pushing your lawyer to push her lawyer.  Something along the lines that Atty1 will assume Atty2 is OK with the changes and that Atty1 will be filing the final order in XXXX number of days if Atty1 doesn't get a response back from Atty2. You've got to remember, there is no final order until it's filed and whatever the current order states is the order that's in effect.

Unfortunately, it's so close to Christmas you're probably not going to get much out of either attorney.

His attorney said to go ahead on paying the lower cs amount. The other items that are on hold based on the final filing are a requirement for both parents to take a coparenting class within 60 days of the order and the requirement to communicate through email.

I think BM still has DH's email blocked. Anyway, it took a year to get a court date, so I guess a couple of months to get the stuff finalized isn't so bad.

Thanks
