SS drinking and smoking pot - need your input

Hi all,

We have learned through a reliable source that ss has been smoking pot and drinking while in moms custody (she provides little supervision).  We are due to return for hearing in 2 months to assess how custody is going.  Obviously we first want ss safe and not associating with his current peer group; but second, how do we actually document this type of behavior for the judge?  Doesn't seem like we can just "say it" as we need to have proof?  SS admits to nothing.  Mom denies he "would ever do such a thing", especially while in her care.

Anybody dealing with this?  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

I would probably think if you can find a good PI that will video the SS doing these activities in the custody of mom along with documentation of her work schedule and maybe video and and survailance of the mothers extracurricular activities.  This will show that the SS is taking part of these activities and that mom is not around to provide the proper giudance and supervision to prevent it.

As bad as this may sound, he needs to be caught in the act.  It would serve two useful purposes:  it would tell him that this behavior is NOT okay and it gives you SOLID proof to the court that BM is lying thru her teeth.  If this happens, also go into court loaded with info on where to get treatment for him, including in-patient (if needed) and counseling.  Make it look like you are ahead of the 8 ball and fully prepared to make sure he gets the help he needs.

If you take the bull by the horns and the BM prefers to be in denial, that will say a LOT to the court.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog........if you can't play with it or eat it, pee on it and walk away.......
