Visitation

I am a concerned grandmother and was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. My son has a year old daughter and has been in a year long divorce and visitation fight of his life. His ex is vengeful and very angry. But she should put that aside but as we all know that does not happen in most divorce's. This divorce financially has broken my son. She has him in court constantly, for buying cloths that are off the rack on sale ect. In his divorce he has stages for visitation, which are not a problem because of the child's age, right now he had to move down state to get a job, and is  not able to drive 3 hours for one hours visitation, he has  no car and needs to work or will go to jail for non-support. If he can not make his visits can he lose visitation? He has joint legal custody and visits twice a week. I really do not understand how the judge can let her misuse the system for her revenge, isn't there something unlawful for this. I have  not even met my grand daughter or held her, she was two weeks old before we snooped around long enough to find out she was born. My son was still married at the time to his now ex wife. Thanks so much for listening.

He probably needs to get his parenting time re-adjusted thanks to the distance.

The better option is to keep his eyes and ears open to moving back and not change the order.

He's gotta learn to use the court system to enforce his child's right to have a father in her life.

Thanks so much for that information. I agree to the move back. He needs to stay put for a while. He does need to use the system more. I had almost given up on the court systems of today.
