That's pretty much what happened. An 80yo volunteer.. I think at this point, he so used to being beaten right down, that he expects it. He's starting to give up, and walk away with his tail between his legs.

We did let SD know what happened..

Did you have legal and then she took it away?  They took into consideration heating the house with wood???  What the hell does that have to do with determining the children's upbringing, medical, school etc??  Wow, you got the shaft.  Did you appeal?

I'm new here, and I haven't read the other replies yet, so I appologize if I am redundant...

But hell YES, stress can cause this condition, and any doctor in the world will support that!!!  It makes me absolutely sick to think of that little girl lying in a hospital bed with her mother throwing a tantrum in front of her.  If that doesn't tear a child up from the inside out, I don't know what would.

I am very very sorry that you are going through this with this "woman".
