Plus, most states SOL on paternity testing (unless it's voluntary). By relying on the state you pretty much get what you paid for...nuttin' or close to nuttin...and that goes for custodial & non custodial alike.

Sign or don't sign the state is going to come after you to pay back the money which will also include the birth expenses. So yup, you can pretty much count on them sucking you dry.  You are going to be thousands of dollars in arrears right from the start including compounded interest. This will also go on your credit report. The state will be awarded their money back to the date of filing so if you stall going to court it's just sitting there adding up. Don't give her any more money as it will be considered a *gift*. The state is involved now so it doesn't matter how much cooperation you have with her it's out of your hands. I can only guess that the birth expenses you'll be responsible for will be in the area of 3-4k for a normal birth. That's IF your state doesn't make you contribute to HER care as well.
Visit your states child support website. There should be a calculator available to show approximately what your responsiblity will be. Don't forget to request you be awarded the tax deduction yearly (this can add up!).
INSIST ON DNA TESTING I don't care how much you are convinced you are the father!!! Thirty percent come back NOT THE DADDY. You don't want to pay for years then find out otherwise.

Child Support Issues / Another battle! :(
Sep 12, 2005, 09:32:20 AM
So we get a letter from CSE stating that c/s doesn't end until the last day of month when the child turns 18. I called there, I wanted them to supply me with the VA Family Law code and/or where it is written according to VA law that c/s has to be provided past the 18th birthday. Basically she couldn't give me an answer but to say "If it's not paid until the 30th then the account will go into arrears. It will be listed on Mr. KAT's credit report and sent before the judge for contempt where he could face jail time". I said fine, do that because I can't find WHERE it says until the end of them month and if you can't provide the information then I guess we'll have to leave it up to the judge. I think it's something you folks made up in order to get more money from the Feds.
Geez, we aren't talking about a 100 bucks here we are talking over 1,000. Kid hasn't lived with here since January, she tells everyone Mr. KAT isn't paying. She's supporting herself with it, buying smokes, beer, Bon-bon's, Ho-ho's & pot...getting fatter & fatter, uglier & uglier. She's wronged everyone in her life so horribly that she can barely find a floor to sleep on. (I get info from ex husbands new girl-friend.) It even says in the C/S/E handbook that if the custodial parent need c/s continued past the child's 18th BIRTHDAY then they must contact c/s/e six months in advance.
Called Hubby's HR dept. & the lady told me that the court order states it ends on the child's  18th BIRTHDAY, nothing about garnishment past that date. She said unless she hears from c/s/e differently then she's pro-rating it & that's what they are getting.
AHHHH, I just want to pull my hair out!!
Thanks for your support!!!

Child Support Issues / Yippeee!!!!

ONLY 20 more days here!! I bought a Land Rover & we are building a great big beautiful new house on the water AND will have a very small mtg. payment too. Biomom, guess she's going without a paycheck since that's the only income she HAD! I get the giggles when I think about it. Half expect the cow to show up here with her hand out for something but all she's going to get is a door slammed in her face. The 4th Hubby kicked her to the curb last month, her mother isn't speaking to her so basically she's homeless.
Take that RV out for a nice ride & visit us in VA. We can have a party!
CONGRATS!

I just wanted you to know that I HEAR you loud & clear!!! Mr. KAT has NEVER, EVER been in arrears (per this order, none for last either but that's a different 26k welfare fraud didn't do anything to her just let the taxpayers suck it up story). But when we went to refinance they KNEW he had a support obligation. HOW? It's not listed on the credit report but they knew the exact amount. Luckily his obligation to the troll (last child hasn't lived with her since Jan.) ends in 40 days so it wasn't even considered but still....why bother? There is no way you can get ahead when you have to pay. But if you GET support heck you can buy a house with that amoutn if it's enough for them!! FUNNY I didn't see anywhere on the refinance application to list how many children Mr.KAT & I have. I guess it's only worth it to ask if the kids were used as pawns carrying rich cash rewards.
Sad.

Child Support Issues / RE: Again?

*SNORT* You need to review your state codes. It's highly doubtful that there could be a  review within such a short period of time. You need a new lawyer. Your lawyer is a wish-washy butthead who is afraid of the judge. He/she doesn't go home to a great big bill with possible jail time hanging over his/her heads! NO, they get paid to see you screwed!! How fun that must be!!! Been there, had one of those!!!!! Motion to DISMISS because c/s was already ruled on (date). They need a change of circumstances in order to motion for a new order or a period of time (per your state code which you look up the numbers & include, VA is every three years or income increase of 20% plus it has to equal at least a $25.00 support increase.) Once you write it up, post it on Socrateasers board for his review.

Child Support Issues / RE: Do I have options/

Badreya;
What can I do for you? I am so worried about your safety that I could barely sleep last night. You do realize the only way to stop the abuse is to leave this man. Husband or not he can kill you, religion or not, your children NEED their mother. There are shelters & programs specifically for Muslim women BY Muslim women. I believe I found one in Atlanta. I'm sure that they will help address your special concerns.
Are you dumping your internet cache' so that your postings can not be traced by your husband?
I'm worried!
Kind regards;

Joe, what state are you in? Frankly I don't see a judge terminating your child support order while the kids are this young (remember, it's a best interest thing). The judge could do other things however such as abate the support until biomom has enrolled them in regular schools. In most states she has to register that she is home schooling & file a plan. Have you checked to see if she has done this? Your probably better off going for a change in custody.
