you may be arrested!  Seriously....this is incredibly sad, the UK is prohibiting fathers from dressing as Santa.  You have to have a government issued Santa ID to get a costume.

Reading is believing....

Maybe we can set up a fund where we ship Santa outfits to the UK on the black market [small](kidding)[/small]???   Although, the backlash may indeed be a positive sign, a sign that the noncustodial dads in the UK are being taken seriously and a threat for the message they're sending in order for the government to take such a radical pre-emptive strike against them.

Sounds like these dads are being heard loud and clear.

Did I hear word "demonstration"?

I know many hold a negative opinion to F4J.  I must say that I've also had concerns about a few saying "This is war, there will be causalities" comments coming from the F4J camp.

BUT,,, I thought this was a good idea.

[font size =+1]Action for DECEMBER 17th.
 ===================

Fathers 4 Justice will hold their Christmas Protest Action in London on Saturday December 18th. in typical F4J style :-)

Whether you support Fathers 4 Justice or not; whether you agree or disagree with our methods, we have achieved world-wide media coverage with our actions. Please capitalise on what we have achieved in raising our  issue in the public arena and get involved with the following action on Friday December 17th., either in support of Fathers 4 Justice, in support of your own group, as individuals but more importantly - in support of your children and their future!

Earlier this year a member of Fathers 4 Justice placed his sons
toys on the steps of the Royal Courts of Justice in London. Fathers 4 Justice - Netherlands followed with a similar action outside the child welfare office.
( Images and video can be seen via:

Action   (I love this idea) !*!*!*!
 =====

 1) Please buy a toy or donate one of your childrens toys, wrap it up  as a Christmas present and mark on the present whether it is for a boy or a girl.

 2) Notify the local media to cover the event and also notify a childrens charity to collect the presents after the protest as a donation to them. Ask that they inform the media about the donation.

3) On Friday December 17th. we are asking that parents around the world dress as Santa Claus ( Father Christmas ), carry purple flags and congregate in front of your local family court or child welfare office steps.

( Previous F4J Christmas demo can be seen via: )

 4) Sing Christmas Carols outside the court / office as this will draw the publics attention to you.

5) When you have a suitable audience start placing the presents on the steps of the family court. Nominate one member to inform the public that you can't give the present to your own child because of these courts etc..

Inform the public why you are there and carrying out the action - be polite and avoid being angry. The public will avoid people who appear angry - they will approach you if you appear to be having a good time and enjoying yourself.

 6) Continue singing more Christmas Carols including the Fathers 4 Justice one pasted below!

When you have finished the protest I would suggest that members debrief in a local cafe, bar or somewhere to have a meal and relax and discuss further actions for 2005.

Our children have suffered enough! It is time to send the message
out that as decent parents, we will no longer tolerate the child abuse
handed out to children by family courts. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Please notify me of the following in order that we can broadcast a list of contacts and locations. This will help people to recruit volunteers locally and to insert details into their press releases.

 i) Contact person ( e-mail address )
ii) Location or area of protest

Several groups and individuals have pledged to take part in
Australia, New Zealand and France. We hope to get a protest in every state in America.; every province in Canada and countries in South America where we have an increasing membership.

Good Lord, my jaw dropped when I read this.

The Home Office has answered criticisms by law enforcement representatives that all Santas look alike by funding special "Santa recognition courses". The aim of the course is to help officers identify real Santas from fake ones.

They're insane!!!  I swear to God the only sane person in Great Britain's government, is Tony Blair.  Hmmm, does he have an email addy?

I am being sued for something that happened at the December 2000 Freep of Joe Lieberman.

JimRob has allowed me to hold an internet fundraiser to help defray the costs of my lawyers fees.

I am broke and thousands of dollars in debt, and depending on how much I can collect here, I amnot sure if I can continue or work to sign a mutual release if offered.

Right now, we have ended the discovery phase, and are awaiting the deposition of the man who accused me of assaulting him that day.

That charge is a lie.

The following story below is my short account of what happened that day.

I have been accused of something that I didn't do
And I am being sued for it!

On December 2, 2000, I held a rally in New Haven in front of then Vice Presidential candidate Joe Lieberman's house, doing what little I could to show support for the newly elected President Bush, and to show my frustration at the Democrats in their attempts to overturn the genuinely won election by George W. Bush.

At the end of the rally, Former Ct State Senator Tom Scott was speaking on the back of my truck, when all of a sudden the lead Democrat supporter of the counter rally held at the same location, started to approach my truck, then turned and took 3 or 4 running steps and jumped on the bed of my truck in a manner that I thought he was going to attack someone on the truck: either me or Tom.

I stepped to his side and held out my arm to stop him as he ran into my arm and immediately stopped his forward motion.

I kept my hand held out in front of him to prevent him from going forward on the truck bed and get closer to Tom who was speaking at the time.

After 3 seconds or so, the man who jumped on my truck immediately turned and jumped down off the truck into the arms of the Police who quickly escorted him away from my truck.

The whole incident lasted no more than 5 seconds it seems.

Tom and I decided to not press charges for assault or trespass on my truck, and let him go.

9 months later, the man filed suit against me for assault.

I am not joking.

9 months later.

He claims I grabbed his throat.

Look at the picture. This picture was taken December 2, 2000.

That is the man who claims I was grabbing his throat. My hand is on his chest, not his throat. My hand was NEVER on his throat, nor was it ever near his throat!

Why I made this website
Because of the lawsuit, I am forced to endure thousands of dollars of debt that I cannot afford. I have been employed only in temporary positions since 2001 when telecom collapsed, and am deep in debt.

This man is trying to use the legal system to get tens of thousands of dollars from me that does not belong to him, and he is doing it by claiming I assaulted him, which I did not do at all.

My sincere apologies to any Democrats who read this.  Please look past the politics and see the real issue.  Our First Amendment Rights are trashed.  This bum can pull this on your average American, then sue him.  Read some of the posts, but there's over 1000+ replies, but pay close attention to his attacker.... the "Reverend Kimber".  I'm kicking in what I can afford.  At this point in time, 25 bucks is irrelevent, but my right to freedom of speech, and that of us and our children is irreplaceable.

I've been to three protest rallies, two of them against Gray Davis, one was a counter demonstration to support President Bush.  It's not all cake and ice cream.  Starting with the Tea Party, protest has been an integral part of American politics.  Just stay safe, and watch out for the commies.

Can you get me an original link for your post?  I think I could safely post it on FR, and I know who to ping :)

The guy looks like Al Roper.  Actually, my interpretation of the photo was that he was attempting to hit you in the privates and you were trying to stop him.

StPaulieGirl

Oh nooo, that wasn't me!  I posted an appeal from someone who was accosted by that Al Roker lookalike.  I'm a mom and a grandma , and live in CA :-)

It is outrageous, though.  This is what we all need to consider when our constitutional rights are being violated.  Granted, the Santa's are from the UK, but have they no freedom of speech?  Maybe the fools in Parliment could stomach an invasion of pissed off, angry constituents.

Race Bannon is a good guy.  He is no different from the fathers in the UK.  It's just the issue that is different.
