We live in Texas and my husband CP has filed a motion to modify seeking supervised visits for BM. I get my information from my husband and I am a bit confused. He had to file a motion (not sure what it is called) because it had been less than a year since last hearing and a motion to transfer the case (because BC has lived with him over 6 months) and the motion to modify visitation. The BM was served in April the case was transferred in June. Now the attorney told  BF there is a 45 day wait and he has to give some time after serving BM with notice of hearing. If anyone knows about this please explain.

Is it 45 days from transfer before hearing can be scheduled or 45 days from transfer till hearing takes place?

I am not positive, but it would make sense that it is from when she was served so as to give her time to respond, the transfer doesn't have much to do with it other than what court will hear the motion
