new baby and child support

If I am going to have a baby and would like to stay home and breast feed and care for the infant, can a modification be granted for me not to pay child support during that time period?  In other words, can I be forced to work and pay child support when I am caring for a baby?

The only way you can get out of child support, which no man on "this" plant is able to achieve is...

Get a Dr. Note that you are a high risk pregnancy and you cannot work.  You will automatically be able to suspend child support during that time but you are out of luck after your 6 weeks is up after you ahve given birth.  You are perfectly capable of returning back to work and breast feeding at the same time.

You can't be forced to work.  But you will still be responsible for child support.  Just because you had another baby doesn't mean that you get out of supporting your previous child(ren).

NO, you still will be responsible to pay it. You knew you had this obligation before you got pregnant ans should have saved for it. Your other child still needs your financial support no matter what you do (or how much the other parent makes). Some states take into consideration you have another child and can get a credit for them (reduce child support). The only way is to see if the other parent would accept a lower amount for the 6 weeks then you can just enter it with the court. What state are you in?
