E-mail threats - Are these women serious?

So, here we are embarking on our first billboard campaign. Before we even have the first billboard up we are getting threat messages from people saying they will "find" us, they will tear down the boards, or they will sue us. We got a message from an AOL user that she is going to sue us if we put up any billboards. She has been victimized by an abusive husband for years, and our company, HelpStopPAS.com, is "condoning that kind of behavior".

These women are hysterical. Why? Why do some women think that PAS is a personal attack against them? Why are some people so unwilling to think of others, especially their kids?

Is it that when someone is caught doing something wrong they automatically strike back at the accuser?

So now what? Do we call the FBI? Ignore them? Refer them to a qualified psychotherapist in their area? (lol)

Your opinions would be helpful.

I'm curious

Post some of the HATE email.

Sort of funny, like ironic funny, that PAS is about control, Hate and just being self-centered.  And Woman are calling in Hate threats about PAS,,, a condition they are sort of displaying in their response(s).

Anyway,,, please post the top 3 best.

Sounds to me like NOW, has found you. Could someone be scared that things are finally coming out?

Let them do what they want, if things happen, cover your butts and file charges if need be. Destruction of property, that sort of thing.

Progress is being made, step by step.

I love what you guys are doing w/PAS.  Women (and men) who are responsible for having to coin a term like that like to be the victim.  It's their only standpoint.
Do you know after SEVEN years of fighting for his daughter, the very day my husband got custody, his ex filed a protective order, stating he threatened to kill her three months prior to that and he was abusive during the marriage that ended four years prior to that!!  She of course didn't forget to file for child support that day too.
It was unbelieveable.  Here we were, reeling from finally having custody awarded to him (rightfully so but too long to post here) with PAS a huge factor in the case and when we get home on our door is a protective order.  Not shocking since she had filed several of them before (including against me when I got her daughter a haircut) but nonetheless, a perfect example of a woman who knows no stops.
Good for you and just follow the law and keep going.  In DC, near where I live, there is a law that they have to donate a certain amount of billboard space in their subways to non profit, no matter who they are.  It really bit them in the butt when a pro-marijuana reform campaign took advantage of it but they could do nothing to stop them.  Consider what laws are applicable in your neck of the woods, classify yourself with the govt as non-profit, adopt a board of directors and have at it!!
Best Wishes

Wonder if it would possible to have smaller signs people could put out in their private yards. It would make a statement, with out all the bullshit. Like people do with elections.

I would be proud to display billboard or sign.

I emailed the group and offered to sponsor a bill board in my area.

Choices:
1. Bolivar, OH
2. New Philadelphia, OH
3. Dover, OH
4. Canton, OH

I never heard back from them.  Apparently the bill board distributor doesn't have billboards available in my are.

LOL - I'm not sure my neighbors would go with the idea of a bill board in my yard.

Check your local yard sign ordinances particulaly to size and the maximum number of yard signs allowed at one time.  If only one sign is allowed at the same time then signs could be rotated on a weekly basis.  The signs could read :  Stop Parental Alienation -  Support Shared Parenting  -  Stop Judical Abuse  -  End of NOW is now  -  Help prevent Erectile Dysfunction  -  etc etc

You may garnish some local news reporting and be an interest to the neighbor !!!

There is a list of available cities on the Help Stop PAS message board. The cities available in OH are:

OH:
Akron
Canton
Cleveland
Columbus

If you would like to sponsor a billboard just e-mail admin and they'll get you going. You could have a billboard up in Canton within three weeks!

Unfortunately I deleted them. One was from some person at a yahoo group called Family Court Reform. The other was from an anonymous e-mail address (how do people do that?). Basically, they threatened to sue us. They said they had looked into our articles of incorporation and found the addresses of all of our directors and officers. They said that we needed to "cease and desist" or they would take action against us. Mind you they didn't specify legal action, just action.

I guess we're really starting to make some people worried. Maybe it's a good thing?

If I get anymore I will certainly post them for your viewing pleasure. lol
