Questions on Pro Se in Washington State

I ran out of money for my attorney and he has withdrawn from the case.  I live in Oregon and my wife and child live in Washington State (9 hour drive).

How can I respond to my wife (she has an attorney)?  Everytime I need to file a response do I have to drive up and file it with the clerk?

Now that her attorney knows I don't have a lawyer, they are filing motions like crazy for spousal support, property, etc.  Is there a way for me to respond from Oregon?

For other court issues DH had an attorney, but CS was something that they were to agree on themselves, so he went Pro Se. We live in PA. All of the documents that he had to file he had notorized and sent to the clerk via UPS (you can use certified mail).

In Florida, as I suspect in most states, you have to serve the other party (your ex's attorney) at the same time. A copy of all of the notorized papers were sent to the other party by UPS as well.

God, if we had to travel to Florida everytime PBFH raised a stink, we would be out thousands more than we are now!!!

There is a father's rights group in Washington State that helps fathers who have financial difficulties.  My friends  use them, and they are more successful now than they were with a private lawyer.  

The group's name is "United Fathers."  I think the website is ufa, and I can't remember what comes after the dot.
