How do I find out if it is illegal to record phone calls of a minor - my step daughter.  She ran a way recently and we have over heard her lieing to her friends about being abused at our house.  Custody is split 50/50 but the ex filed for custody within months of the last determination.

Notes On Audio and Video Taping (http://www.deltabravo.net/custody/taping.php)

"The use of video and audio recording is becoming a commonly used tool in divorce and custody conflicts. Video evidence is compelling and difficult to refute; when used properly it can be a powerful factor in how your case is decided."

Recording And Transcribing Conversations (http://www.deltabravo.net/custody/transcribe.php)
"If your State allows telephone conversations to be recorded, we suggest that you put every conversation with your ex on the record. Recordings can be valuable evidence of a spouse's misbehavior, inability to care for a child, or even criminal activity."

The trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Whoops, my mistake. Should be fixed now.
