Watching the practice

I am watching the practice tonight and there is something that rises my question:

The DA makes advance to the attorney that her client get 6 month if she has sex with him.
the attorney tells the stuff to the judge but then the DA says I never made advance. she did, ...

So he said she said, ....

truth doesn't really matter, it's all about what looks like !
